Brazilian Teak is also known as Cumaru. This South American wood has dramatic shading which mellows as the floor ages. Specifically, it is initially red-brown or purple-brown with streaks that are pale yellow-brown or purple. Overtime, it becomes a uniform light brown or yellow-brown. Cumaru has a fine texture and a waxy feel.
